I have always been fascinated with art. As a child I admired it all, from the old masters to Disney animation. I used to spend hours flipping through an old set of art books my parents had as well as illustrations in children’s books at the school library. Even now I am amazed that one can take color and line on a two dimensional plane, and transform it into a character or scene that appears to be three dimensional. It’s like magic! No matter how much you hone your skills as an artist there is always room for improvement. I still study artwork today. It’s surprising how much you can learn from observing other talented artists. When I see great art, I get excited and it inspires me to return to my own canvas and paint!
