What is a Licensing Agreement? In Short – When you give your license, you give permission for someone, other than yourself, to sell your images.

Am I selling the original piece of Artwork? No! We specialize in selling Fine Art Reproductions on Canvas. Once we get the digital capture of your piece you can do whatever you wish with the original; Sell it, License it, Keep it, Display it, Show it…whatever you wish….you own it.
Am I giving up my Copyright? Absolutely not! In our Agreement the Artist keeps full copyrights to their work and all that it implies.
What do I have to do? Not Much. You did most of it when you created your painting. Enter into our Licensing Agreement and send your art to us (digital copy). That’s it. We do everything else from product creation, marketing, promotion, sales, accounting and everything in between.
Let’s Talk Royalties. For your license permission we pay you 10% of the selling price for every one of your images that we sell (Click here to Learn More about the Industry Standard). Artists are paid quarterly. Your check is accompanied with an itemized statement detailing which of your images and how many of each has sold. Once you have entered the agreement there is nothing more you need to do than sit back and enjoy the passive income. There is no limit to the number of reproductions that can be sold of a single Painting.
Do You Guarantee That My Art Will Sell? No. We only guarantee that we will market the products to the best of our ability for both parties involved. At minimum, your work will be featured in our monthly Decorating & Design Newsletters, your work will be advertised at no cost to you and you'll get a back link to your site.
Why Aren’t Limited Editions Sold? It is our philosophy that the true value of any piece lies in the pleasure it brings to the viewer in the moment… not in the number of prints available. Our mission is to enhance lives of people in the everyday, workaday world, through art--- affordably.
Will it Cost Me Anything? Not if you have a high quality digital capture of your artwork in your possession. Otherwise, you will need to obtain the digital capture at your expense.
Is Fine Art Castle a Licensing Agency? No. We are a company that licenses artwork for our own product sold in this store.
